Tools

You do not need these names to use the server. Ask in plain language and the assistant picks the right tool. The list is here for when you want to know exactly what a connection can do. Most tools match a REST API endpoint and link to its reference. Every tool takes an optional workspace argument, the subdomain of a connected workspace. Left out, it runs against the workspace the connection was set up with. ListWorkspaces reports the values you can pass. What a tool returns depends on the credential. Over OAuth, lists come back filtered to the permissions of the person who approved the connection, and a record they cannot open is refused rather than returned; an API key reaches the whole workspace. A tool that creates, updates, or deletes is also refused when the connection was not granted the Create and update or Delete permission.

Workspaces

Tool	What it does
`ListWorkspaces`	Lists the workspaces this connection can reach.

ListWorkspaces has no REST endpoint, which is why it is not linked.

Clients

Clients are the billed entities that own projects and invoice recipients.

Tool	What it does
`ListClients`	Lists the organization’s clients, filtered by status or name. Used to resolve a name to an ID.
`GetClient`	Returns a client’s details and its invoice recipients.
`CreateClient`	Creates a client.
`UpdateClient`	Updates a client. Only the provided fields change.

Recipients

Recipients receive a client’s invoices.

`CreateRecipient`	Adds an invoice recipient to a client.
`UpdateRecipient`	Updates a recipient. Only the provided fields change.
`DeleteRecipient`	Removes a recipient from a client.

Projects

Tool	What it does
`ListProjects`	Lists projects, or finds which projects a user is on, or finds a project by name.
`GetProject`	Returns a project’s details, including its client, tasks, and project users.
`CreateProject`	Creates a project under a client. A project must have at least one task.
`UpdateProject`	Updates a project. Only the provided fields change.

Project users

Tool	What it does
`ListProjectUsers`	Lists the active users on a project.
`AddProjectUser`	Adds an organization user, by ID or email, to a project so they can log time to it.
`UpdateProjectUser`	Updates a project user’s role or hourly rate.
`RemoveProjectUser`	Removes a user from a project.

Time entries

Tool	What it does
`ListTimeEntries`	Lists a project’s unbilled time entries, optionally for one user or one task.
`CreateTimeEntry`	Logs a time entry for a user against a project’s task.
`UpdateTimeEntry`	Updates an entry’s hours, date, or notes, or moves it to another task on the same project. Billed entries cannot be changed.
`DeleteTimeEntry`	Deletes a time entry. Billed entries cannot be deleted.

Invoices

Tool	What it does
`ListInvoices`	Lists the organization’s invoices, filtered by client, status, overdue, or issue date range. Each invoice shows its grand total, amount paid, amount due and days overdue.
`CreateInvoice`	Generates an invoice for a client from unbilled time entries, services, expenses or fixed price projects, with optional taxes. With send_email, every current recipient of the client receives it unless recipient IDs narrow it.
`SendInvoice`	Emails an invoice to the client’s recipients. Every current recipient of the client receives it unless the call names some of them by recipient ID; an address that is not one of the client’s recipients cannot be given.

An invoice can be sent once the status that ListInvoices reports is generated, pending_payment, paid or written_off; one that is still generating is refused. Sending the same invoice again delivers it again.

Team members

Tool	What it does
`ListTeamMembers`	Lists the organization’s active team members.
`GetTeamMember`	Returns a team member’s details.
`CreateTeamMembers`	Invites one or more team members by email.
`UpdateTeamMember`	Updates a team member’s profile or organization role.
`DeleteTeamMember`	Deactivates a team member, removing their access.

PTO

Tool	What it does
`ListMonthlyPto`	Reads the monthly PTO report: per user, PTO earned, used, and net balance.
`UpdatePtoEarned`	Sets PTO earned in hours for one or more users for a month. A locked month is skipped and reported under `skipped`.

Reports

Tool	What it does
`PayrollSummary`	Reports, per user, working days and loss-of-pay days for a month.
`TimesheetSummary`	Reports hours per user, per day, and per project for a date range.
`ListMissingTimesheetEntries`	Lists working days in a range with no time logged, for one user or the whole team.
